Internships Abroad

Boost your CV and increase your employability by getting a valuable experience with one of our EU Funded Programmes Abroad. IEP have teamed with Léargas to deliver Erasmus + funded programmes to Exeter, Barcelona and London. The Erasmus + funding covers nearly all costs associated with the experience such as flights, accommodation, food, local travel cards, programme costs and insurance. These programmes are highly sought after and places are limited so apply now to avoid disappointment!

EXETER

2-Week Programme

Our Partner has managed Internship Programmes for International students for 16 years in over 30 countries. This particular programme is a hybrid internship and will involve a combination of client project work with a value added training framework in business creation and entrepreneurship. The Exeter Programme gives practical hands-on experience in newly formed social enterprises and startups. This involves working with mentors, clients and other International Interns; whilst gaining support in developing personal ideas within the work environment. This internship is not about becoming an entrepreneur. It is about developing three key skills that are needed whether you are looking to gain employment, become self-employed or continue your education; Creative Problem Solving, Self-Learning Initiative and Confidence in Leadership.

  • Minimum 17 years and over
  • Students whom are currently enrolled or are within one year of graduation from a FETAC Level 5 or 6 course
  • Residents of the Republic of Ireland, with visa rights to work in the UK
  • Return flights to Exeter
  • UK Return Airport Transfers
  • Homestay accommodation in Exeter, Full board
  • Local public transport pass
  • Travel Insurance
  • Preparation seminar in Dublin
  • Orientation and social activities in Exeter
  • Work experience with a social enterprise or startup
  • Training, support and mentoring throughout programme
  • Europass Mobility Certificate
  • There are two Flows that will take place during college's February midterm and Easter breaks

6-Week Programme

Our Partner is an Award-winning provider of education, travel, work experience and employment services, both in the UK and internationally, hosting an average of 50,000 students per year. This particular programme in London involves hands-on work experience with host companies in areas relating to specific qualifications or interests. London is one of the leaders in world economy and an internships abroad here almost guarantees to help towards your future career.

  • Minimum 18 years and over
  • Students whom are currently enrolled or are within one year of graduation from a FETAC Level 5 or 6 course
  • Residents of the Republic of Ireland, with visa rights to work in the UK
  • Return flights to London
  • UK Return Airport Transfers
  • Homestay Accommodation, Full board

  • Travel Insurance
  • Preparation seminar in Dublin
  • Orientation and social activities in London
  • Host company placement
  • Europass Mobility Certificate on completion
  • This 6 week programme will take place over the summer period between May and August 2018
  • Places are determined by skill level, experience and availability of a suitable host company
