The majority of participants on our internships programmes stay with Irish host families, so they can enjoy the comforts of home and also improve their understanding of our culture and language by interacting with their friendly hosts.
Our carefully selected host families – many of whom have worked with us for more than ten years – will provide you with the following:
- A clean, comfortable single room (twin room sharing on request)
- Breakfast and evening meal (packed lunch on request)
- Bed linen, sheets and towels
- Weekly laundry
- Access to shared bathroom and living areas in the home
Many of the students and interns on our programmes remain in contact for years with their Irish host families, retaining a friendly link with Ireland and their experience here.
There is also limited potential for staying in a shared apartment or university campus accommodation; short-term stays in rental accommodation can be difficult to secure, but we will do our best to help you if this is your choice.
