Our homestay families generally provide accommodation in a single room on a half-board basis i.e. breakfast and evening meal. Occasionally there will be a requirement for full-board (packed lunch) or twin room accommodation, which will be clearly communicated in advance.
We ask our host families to include the student or intern in their family life, for example taking them on outings or to family events where appropriate.
Specific requirements for homestay families include:
- Single room accommodation unless otherwise specified
- Bedrooms must have a standard size bed, desk/table and lamp
- A maximum of three students to be hosted at any one time, from this or any other agency
- Only one individual with the same mother tongue should be hosted at the same time from this or any other agency or school (unless specifically requested)
- Bed linen and towels should be changed weekly
- Students’ laundry to be included with family laundry weekly (not ironing)

All host families must sign and return our Family Agreement form and must comply with the provisions of the Children Act 1989 detailed therein.
