How long do students and interns come for?
Students come from 4 weeks – 6 months, but the majority come from between 8 - 12 weeks

Do I need to collect/drop the student from/to the airport?

No. We never ask our families to do this; we work with a team of insured taxi and coaching operators who will collect and drop the student(s) to and from the airport, unless they have opted to make their own way to your house.

Occasionally for group arrivals we ask families to meet their guests at an agreed local meeting point, usually walking distance from your home, on the day of arrival. This is to facilitate getting students to their host family accommodation quickly, as transporting a large group by coach to individual houses can take hours. In this case, our staff members are always there in person to organise and expedite the process.

What do the students require?

  • The student will require in his/ or her room
  • A comfortable, full-sized bed, with a good supply of bedding (bunk beds are not suitable).
  • A desk and a chair for studying

How do I get paid?
You will get paid by cheque, which will be posted out to you monthly during the student’s stay, generally in the second half of the stay. For example, if the student is staying for eight weeks, you will receive the first cheque in the third and seventh weeks of the students stay.

Is it possible to get payment in advance?
Unfortunately it is not possible to get payment in advance, however if you contact us, we will try our best to help you out

Can I get the whole amount of the payment at the end of the student’s stay?
Yes. If you prefer this arrangement, just let us know this when we ask you to host a student.
